Rigidity and chemical resistance with carbon fibre

A robust technical filament for mechanical and industrial applications

Le PET-CF (Carbon fibre-reinforced polyethylene terephthalate) is a filament combining PETG is easy to print with the rigidity and lightness of carbon fibre. This material is ideal for mechanical parts, industrial prototypes and technical componentsrequiring good chemical resistance, excellent dimensional stability and increased strength.

Why choose PET-CF

Reinforced rigiditysuitable for parts subject to mechanical stress.
Good thermal resistanceIt can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C.
Excellent chemical resistanceagainst solvents, oils and fuels.
Low warpingThe result is a more stable print than with ABS or PA-CF.
Easier to print than other carbon composites (PA-CF, PC-CF).

Applications of PET-CF

Mechanical and industrial parts Supports, fixings, structural components.
Functional prototypes Test of resistant parts before mass production.
Enclosures and protection Components exposed to chemicals or wear.
Components subject to moderate loads Articulated arms, light gears, guides.

When not to choose PET-CF

🚫 Printing requiring high flexibility

  • Alternative : TPU 95A for flexible, shock-absorbing parts.

🚫 Extreme thermal resistance requirements (>100°C)

  • Alternative : PAHT-CF, PPA-CF, PC for higher temperatures.

🚫 Prolonged outdoor use (UV exposure and humidity)

  • Alternative : ASA, ASA-CF for improved weather resistance.

🚫 Parts requiring maximum rigidity

  • Alternative : PA6-CF, ABS-GF for more solid structures.
